Application Of Technology On Sovereign Credit Assessment
Country analysis plays a vital part in the credit analysis process. It is not limited to assessing direct exposure to the sovereign, like investing in sovereign bonds. However, it also impacts the creditworthiness of their financial institutions and corporates in their jurisdictions. Dan will explain how the technology enables you to analyze the country’s credit risk more efficiently in this session.

About the Speaker :
Mr. Dan Chan is a director of our Product Specialist Group. He has been working with Fitch for 7 years. Prior to Fitch, Dan has worked in the credit area for 15 years, including credit risk model development, regulatory compliance advisory, and corporate credit analytics roles at S&P, Ernst & Young, and DBS Bank. Dan holds two master’s degrees, one in Finance and another in Information & Technology Management, and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree with a research topic about bank credit ratings.
