Programme Background and Objectives:

This programme is designed to equip business professionals with the skills and knowledge to leverage AI, particularly generative AI, across various business domains. Focusing on practical applications in finance, marketing, operations, and sustainability, the programme addresses the increasing demand for AI expertise in today’s data-driven world. Through industry partnerships and an application-driven approach, the programme explores cutting-edge AI techniques, preparing professionals to lead AI initiatives that foster innovation, optimize business processes, and enhance competitiveness in an AI-powered global marketplace.

Programme Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course, participants will:

  1. Understand the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications across various business domains, including finance, marketing, operations, and sustainability, within both regional and global business contexts.

The course combines theoretical foundations with practical exercises and case studies, enabling participants to develop a strong understanding of how AI can enhance financial performance and mitigate risk.

AI-Driven Investment Strategies (1 unit)

This course provides a comprehensive overview of AI’s impact on investment management. Participants will delve into various AI methodologies, including time series analysis, machine learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and generative AI and their application to financial markets. Specific topics include AI-driven market forecasting, automated trading strategies, portfolio optimization using AI, risk management with AI. The course combines theoretical foundations with practical exercises, simulations, and case studies to provide participants with a strong understanding of how AI can be used to enhance investment performance and manage risk.

AI-Powered ESG: Measurement, Reporting, and Impact (1 unit)

This course examines the application of AI to enhance ESG measurement, reporting, and impact analysis. Participants will delve into various AI methodologies, especially Generative AI, and their application to ESG data. Specific topics include AI-driven ESG risk assessment, automated ESG reporting, impact measurement using AI, and the use of alternative data sources for ESG insights. The course combines theoretical foundations with practical exercises, case studies, and real-world examples to provide participants with a strong understanding of how AI can drive more effective and transparent ESG practices.

AI in Marketing: Customer Engagement and Brand Building (1 unit)

This module explores the transformative impact of AI on modern marketing strategies, with a focus on customer engagement and brand building. Participants will examine how AI technologies— particularly generative AI—are revolutionizing the ways brands interact with consumers, personalize experiences, and create value-driven content. By the end of the module, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and practical insights to harness AI in creating impactful marketing strategies that enhance customer relationships and foster long-term brand equity in the digital age.

Generative AI for Sustainability: Driving Climate Solutions (1 unit)

This course explores the application of Generative AI to address critical climate challenges, such as climate change mitigation, adaptation, and sustainable development. This module explores the transformative potential of generative AI in reshaping business strategies and creating competitive advantages. Participants will learn how leading organizations use generative AI to drive innovation, optimize operations, and uncover new market opportunities.Through case studies and practical exercises, the module demonstrates strategic applications of generative AI across various industries. Participants will identify key areas where it can add value, including product innovation, personalized customer experiences, and operational efficiency.

Leading in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Organizational Transformation and Strategy (1 unit)

This module explores the transformative role of AI, particularly generative AI, in reshaping organizational leadership, transformation, and strategy. Participants will gain insights into how AI is impacting decision-making, organizational structures, and long-term strategic planning.

Through case studies and practical exercises, the module covers key topics such as aligning AI with business goals, fostering innovation, and leading AI-driven transformations. Participants will learn how to navigate the complexities of AI adoption and integrate AI strategies to drive growth and agility in their organizations.

Building AI-Powered Ventures: Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Age of Generative AI (1 unit)

This module explores how generative AI can fuel entrepreneurship and innovation in building and scaling new ventures. Participants will learn how AI can drive product development, create new business models, and disrupt industries. Through case studies and hands-on projects, the module focuses on AI-driven market analysis and business scalability. Participants will gain practical insights into integrating AI technologies to solve business problems, optimize operations, and create sustainable competitive advantages. The module also emphasizes identifying emerging AI opportunities and leveraging them to build AI-powered ventures in the digital economy. By the end of the module, participants will be equipped to lead AI-driven ventures, harnessing the transformative potential of generative AI for entrepreneurial success.

AI Ethics and Governance: Navigating the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence

This module examines the critical ethical and governance challenges posed by the rapid advancement and deployment of AI technologies in business. Participants will explore frameworks for responsible AI usage, focusing on ensuring transparency, fairness, accountability, and privacy in AI systems.Through real-world case studies and interactive discussions, the module provides a comprehensive understanding of ethical dilemmas and regulatory requirements in various industries. Participants will learn to identify potential biases in AI models, address issues related to data privacy, and implement governance structures that uphold ethical standards.

AI-Driven Smart and Green Logistics: Innovations for a Sustainable Future (1 unit)

This module examines how AI is transforming logistics into a more efficient and eco-friendly industry. Participants will learn about AI-driven solutions that address environmental and operational challenges, promoting sustainable supply chains.Through case studies and practical applications, the course highlights AI’s role in enhancing green logistics, including energy-efficient route optimization, eco-friendly transportation, and smart warehousing. Participants will also explore emerging technologies like machine learning and Generative AI that help logistics companies achieve sustainability while maintaining operational excellence.

Medium of Instruction: English and/or Chinese will be used as the medium for instruction.

Tuition Fee: HKD$ 66,000 per programme (Total 6 modules)

Entry Requirement: Holders of a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university or equivalent professional qualifications.

Graduation Requirement:To be awarded Professional Certificate in Artificial Intelligence for Business, participants are required to have an overall attendance rate of 70% of each module and pass the assessments of each module with a letter grade not lower than Grade C.
